The following eligibility requirements must be met before you can receive any type of financial assistance.

  • Beginning with the 2024-25 aid year, each contributor (individual required to provide information on the FAFSA) must provide consent and approval for tax information to be directly transferred into the FAFSA.

  • I’m enrolled in a degree-seeking program at UCF. Only courses toward your degree requirements count for financial aid purposes.

  • I will certify, via the FAFSA, federally funded aid will be used for educational purposes.

  • I鈥檓 taking the sufficient number of credit hours each semester, according to the Program Eligibility Charts, and attending class. Your financial aid is calculated based on the credit hours in which you are enrolled, and attendance in these courses is mandatory in order to maintain eligibility. Federal awards will be recalculated to include the number of credit hours in which you earned credit and in which your professors confirm that you were in attendance.

  • I understand that I cannot receive aid in excess of my cost of attendance. If an over-award occurs, I understand that the Office of Student Financial Assistance is required to review my eligibility to make sure the total I receive is within federal guidelines.

  • I have not defaulted on a federal education loan or owe a repayment on a federal grant at UCF or any other institution.

  • I have provided all requested information.

  • I have notified the Office of Student Financial Assistance of any changes in my housing status.

  • I am a U.S. citizen or an eligible non-citizen. Eligible non-citizens include a permanent U.S. resident with a Permanent Resident Card (I-551); a conditional permanent resident with a Conditional Green Card (I-551C); as well as some I-94 classifications.

  • I have a high school diploma or GED certificate.

  • I have a valid Social Security number (with the exception of students from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau).

  • I meet UCF鈥檚 Standards for Satisfactory Academic Progress.

  • I am academically engaged in each course in which I am enrolled. Without verification of this engagement, I will be in jeopardy of not receiving all federal aid.
